Core Mission
INNOMINCU serves as a catalyst to bridge the gap between academic research and practical application. By fostering partnerships with both public and private sectors, the project aims to transform innovation into a “trademark” of UAUIM, ensuring that the institution remains a leader in architecture and urban planning research.
Full Title: Innovation as a Necessity, Opportunity, and Registered Trademark of University Research
Funding: Co-financed via CNFIS-FDI 2021 (Strategic Domain D6 – “Developing institutional capacity for research in universities”)
Institution: “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism (UAUIM)
Key Strategic Objectives
The project is built on three pillars designed to modernize the university’s research landscape:
- SO1: Professional Performance and European Integration
- The university aims to improve the R&D performance of 250 faculty members and 30 PhD students. The focus is on creating a stimulating academic environment that enhances research skills and aligns institutional initiatives with new European research directions.
- SO2: Interdisciplinary Innovation and Green Technologies
- This objective focuses on fostering collaboration between researchers, professors, doctoral students, and at least 9 undergraduate students from all three faculties. The goal is to develop “intellectual capital” by testing innovative teaching methods and eco-friendly (green) technologies through experimental projects that can be scaled across the university system.
- SO3: Academic Prestige and SustainabilityThe university seeks to cultivate a positive attitude toward competitive research within its community. By highlighting professional growth opportunities and ensuring the visibility of research results, the objective aims to increase the institution’s prestige at both national and international levels while ensuring the long-term sustainability of these actions.
